The cardiac package on the S8vExp is excellent, but there is no continuous wave as standard with the microconvex probe (only available on linear and phased array). For advanced cardiac applications or as a dedicated veterinary echocardiography system, we recommend the SonoScape S9v due to its high number of channels (128 physical channels, versus 64) for greater detail and faster processing, and its higher element phased array probes (96 elements versus 64).
