Vet Image Solutions, passionate about ultrasound.
PICKING THE PERFECT ULTRASOUND MACHINE NEED NOT BE A CHALLENGE!
Vet Image Solutions specialises in the provision of a number of veterinary ultrasound machines. These include ultrasound machines from the SonoScape, Draminski, Landwind and Emperor Medical ranges.
When choosing the ultrasound machine best suited for your needs, a number of parameters should be considered, some of which are discussed henceforth. Firstly, you should consider what the machine is going to primarily be used for, whether it is for pregnancy detection, cardiac work, ocular scanning or meat grading. As an additional point, you should consider whether you will be working with small or large animals. In the instance when ultrasound is required on animals in different locations, a portable machine such as the SonoScape A5v or the Landwind C30 may be most appropriate. For more information on our range of portable ultrasound machines, please see here.
Secondly, it is important to consider your available budget. We provide a range of machines that will suit any budget, and most importantly will also suit your individual needs. Purchasing an ultrasound machine may not be as costly as you expect! Thirdly, are there any particular ‘add-ons’ that would be particularly useful for your chosen ultrasound machine to possess? As an example, do you require a machine that has a colour mode such as the SonoScape S6v? Or do you require a machine that can provide clear, distinct images in a tough and durable case such as the Draminski iScan? Nevertheless, whatever your requirements, we are sure to have an ultrasound machine that can suit your needs.
Fourthly, you should consider whether a particular probe size is required. The EMP-820 PlusVet allows the operator to select the most appropriate probe to use for the task in hand, and scanners like the the THI-100Vet comes available with different probes for different work, such as the microconvex probe for small animal work and a linear probe for abdominal work.
With such a variety of ultrasound machines to choose from, choosing one most suitable for your specific work can seem somewhat daunting. However, taking the points described here into consideration may serve as a good starting point to choosing the perfect ultrasound machine.
