Vet Image Solutions, passionate about ultrasound.
VET IMAGE SOLUTIONS RECOGNISED FOR INNOVATION
We are excited to announce our place as finalists in this year's Bromley Business Awards. Bromley is the largest of the London boroughs, with over 3000 small-medium sized businesses within its borders.
We have been recognised for three key areas of innovation within our company:
- Training and education. Vet Image Solutions is an industry leader in ultrasound training, running regular courses across the UK for pregnancy scanning in small animals, bovine reproductive scanning, and echocardiography.
- International reach: We have exported custom-made systems to researchers in the Republic of Ireland, the United States, Iceland, the UAE and Switzerland. We were invited to Switzerland by Heinz Pluess (contact person for the import and scanning of Texel sheep into Switzerland, and organiser of the 8th and only National Texel Exhibition) and Kathrin Buehler (tour guide of 'AGRAR Reisen,' specialising in agricultural tours worldwide) to demonstrate the equipment in 2012, where our machine was featured in a local farming newspaper. Heinz now presides over all Texel scanning in Switzerland.

- At the cutting edge of research: We have been involved in supplying equipment for ultrasound guided nerve blocking research. This avoids complete sedation of the patient, which is particularly important in animals where this can be very dangerous (such as horses). We are also involved in developments in meat grading and genetic improvement of British lamb and beef stock, and in developing our own range of affordable yet cutting-edge ultrasound machines, such as the touchscreen VIS Scan Pad

We have also been recognised for our work in the community, supporting organisations such as the Museum of Kent Life, Many Tears Animal Rescue, and the Thai Animal Santuary. We also have an active and vibrant Facebook group with which we stay in touch with and support our customers. Clients share their scan images on a daily basis and get feedback from others.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our valued customers and collaborators worldwide; you are the driving force behind everything we do. We'd particularly like to mention:
• Yvette Lovis, our amazingly talented, energetic and passionate sonographer - and a brilliant teacher.
• Heinz Pluess for his faith and bravery in bringing ultrasound into Switzerland. A true pioneer.
• Kathrin Buehler for her on-going support, and for making muscle and fat depth measurement in Swiss Texels a reality.
